Comprehensive Investigation Framework

Our formal complaints procedure follows internationally recognized standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We handle all concerns with the utmost seriousness, ensuring fair, thorough, and confidential investigation of potential academic misconduct, ethical violations, or scholarly errors. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of the scientific record while protecting the rights of all parties involved.

First Step Requirement: Complainants must attempt direct communication with the corresponding author(s) before escalating to the journal, unless valid reasons prevent such contact (e.g., ethical violations, potential retaliation concerns, or unresponsive authors).

Submit a comprehensive complaint letter to the relevant editorial office addressed to the Specialty Chief Editor. The submission must include all required documentation and meet our formal criteria for investigation.

Required Information:

The Specialty Chief Editor conducts preliminary assessment to determine the complaint's validity, scope, and appropriate investigation pathway. Not all submissions will proceed to full investigation.

Evaluation Criteria:

Accepted complaints undergo thorough investigation involving expert consultation, evidence review, and stakeholder communication. We may consult additional subject matter experts, statistical reviewers, or legal counsel as appropriate.

Based on investigation findings, appropriate actions are implemented according to COPE guidelines. All decisions are documented and communicated to relevant parties.
