Transparent procedures for scholarly discourse and dispute resolution
Life Conflux operates under a revolutionary transparent publishing model that prioritizes open scholarly discourse and accountability. Our commitment extends beyond publication to ensuring the ongoing integrity of the academic record through comprehensive post-publication review mechanisms. We believe that transparency strengthens science and fosters trust within the global research community.
Transparency Principles: All published articles include named handling editors and reviewers who have publicly endorsed the work's academic integrity. This unprecedented level of transparency creates a foundation for meaningful post-publication engagement and quality assurance.
We encourage active engagement with published research through our comprehensive post-publication comment system. This platform facilitates meaningful scholarly dialogue, enables researchers to share related findings, and provides a mechanism for addressing concerns or questions about published work. All comments undergo rigorous peer review to ensure they contribute constructively to academic discourse.
Editorial Oversight: Life Conflux reserves the right to edit or reject comments that are derogatory, off-topic, or fail to contribute meaningfully to scholarly discourse. All comments are subject to the same ethical standards as our published articles, including requirements for accuracy, integrity, and professional conduct.
Our formal complaints procedure follows internationally recognized standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We handle all concerns with the utmost seriousness, ensuring fair, thorough, and confidential investigation of potential academic misconduct, ethical violations, or scholarly errors. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of the scientific record while protecting the rights of all parties involved.
First Step Requirement: Complainants must attempt direct communication with the corresponding author(s) before escalating to the journal, unless valid reasons prevent such contact (e.g., ethical violations, potential retaliation concerns, or unresponsive authors).
⏱️ Recommended waiting period: 14 days for author response
Submit a comprehensive complaint letter to the relevant editorial office addressed to the Specialty Chief Editor. The submission must include all required documentation and meet our formal criteria for investigation.
The Specialty Chief Editor conducts preliminary assessment to determine the complaint's validity, scope, and appropriate investigation pathway. Not all submissions will proceed to full investigation.
Accepted complaints undergo thorough investigation involving expert consultation, evidence review, and stakeholder communication. We may consult additional subject matter experts, statistical reviewers, or legal counsel as appropriate.
🔍 Investigation Timeline: 30-90 days depending on complexity
Based on investigation findings, appropriate actions are implemented according to COPE guidelines. All decisions are documented and communicated to relevant parties.
